PR: HR leaders praise engaging and interactive forums aimed at Engage Executive clients

Engage Executive Jobs, the executive division of Bournemouth based independent recruitment consultants, Jobshop UK, has been praised by HR directors for its interactive HR forums which tackle the relevant issues facing HR leaders today.

The most recent forum saw MD of Dragonfish, Sam Turner, providing an informative presentation focusing on customer-centric employee engagement and how to sustain profitable customer growth.  Using the Dragonfish maturity model and seven brainstorming questions, Sam helped guests provide a way to frame where their organisations were today, where they want to be, and how they will know when they get there.

Allowing time for discussion and debate, Sam provided a highly entertaining presentation, proving her passion for the subject matter and using some interesting real life examples. The results brought about an impressive contribution from the forum members; sharing some insightful real life experiences and key areas of learning.

Executive Recruitment Director for Engage, Sally Bennett, welcomed guests to The Cliff, with an introduction centring on how the candidate should be considered as a potential customer and how organisations are letting themselves down in the recruitment process.  Sally highlighted how using a professional recruitment company has innumerable benefits for companies with the advice and range of services it can offer.

Executive recruitment specialists, Engage Executive Jobs, has announced Joanna Kane of Trailblazers Coaching and Consulting, as guest speaker for the second Engage HR Forum to be held on 21st May.

A highly experienced personal, leadership and team development coach, Joanna is also co-author of ‘The Suited Hippy and The Stress Junkie.’ For her talk, Joanna will be discussing emotional intelligence and how using emotional intelligence can help create the cultures that are needed to compete in this ever changing, ever demanding, world we live in.

Last week we were delighted to welcome Mike Dutton of Inchmery Associates who took to the stand as our first speaker for the first Engage HR Forum.


The HR Forum was held at The Cliff, Canford Cliffs, and was well attended by HR leaders, executives, and decision makers across a wide range of companies and industries in Dorset and Hampshire. A light breakfast of fresh fruit, pastries, and bacon rolls was on offer with copious amounts of tea, coffee and fruit juices.


After welcoming everyone to the Forum, Engage Executive Recruitment Director, Sally Bennett, handed over to Mike who started his talk on change management.


The informal forum involved discussing scenarios one had dealt with regarding change management and the steps taken to overcome problems which arose.  Mike also covered topics including; appreciative inquiry; Kotter’s 8 steps, Action learning, and the Sarah curve.


Feedback was hugely positive with comments congratulating Engage on the speaker, topics covered, the refreshingly informal yet energising feel to the Forum, with many attendees commenting on how fantastic it was to have such a ‘meeting of minds’ where they were able to discuss both the challenging aspects of HR as well as the strategies they had implemented which had been especially successful for them.
